If not for getting to discover amazing people like this Yelena, why would we care about the Olympics at all?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and heart warming to watch, a very talented lady and it was so sad because of politics she couldn't compete in the Olympics. Trolls will through ignorance and malice write vile nonsense but just look into her eyes in the image above, all you can see is utter desolation in those eyes. On a personal level I missed her not being there, and seeing her on top of the podium again. Very sad, vicious and repellent behaviour by all who manipulated and belittled many talented athletes.
